I have been working with asp.net now for 4+ years. I have been designing and developing search marketing applications in asp.net 1.1, and more recently in .Net 2.0 using visual studio 2005.
Search Marketing Campaign Manager
ASP.NET 1.1 web application (recently migrated to the 2.0 framework). I have been working for almost 2 years supporting and developing this application. This application uses several standalone console applications that consume various web services to gather marketing data. I have gained exporsure in the following areas:
- Coding with vb.net/C# to produce asp.net pages and console applications.
- Consuming several web services to bring togther a variety of marketing data.
- Use of external components to provide graphs to plot various metrics.
- MS SQL database, stored proceedures, Triggers, Indexes etc....

Email Marketing Campaign Manager
ASP.NET 2.0 web application. This application is used to create, send and report on email marketing campaigns. I designed and developed this application myself in my first year with Interactive Return. EMCM has most if not all of the main features of an email marketing platform. Building this application I gained expierence in the following areas:
- ASP.NET 2.0 framework
- Working with an external .net component to provide email bounce management.
- Compilation of detailed reports from campaign data.

New IR site: I co-developed the new Interactive Return website. This site is built using the modX php CMS and application framework (as is the site you are now viewing!). This site is/was fully standards compliant, and fully search engine optimised. This excellent and robust content management system allows developeres and content modifiers to work in tandum on the construction of web sites. I integrated the old IR shopping cart system into the structured enviornment of modX. The site uses active rss feeds as well as generating a news rss feed. Glenmalure Lodge site: I developed the glenmalure lodge booking engine that allowed customers to book multiple lodges in variying configurations. this site was integrated with realex payemnts to provide e-commerce functionality. I also developed a content management system to allow the client to view orders (edit/cancel etc). Click here to visit.
Interactive Return Training Site: I developed the Interactive Return online training section of their site. This section was developed in php using mySQL to store booking and course information. A content management system was created to allow staff to view bookings and update course content. The site was integrated with realex secure online payments. Click here to visit.
The college Years! (yes a long time ago now)
Efest: During my time at Letterkenny IT I completed several small web design/develoment projects. The first of these mas a mock-up website to cover the many arts festivals that run yearly. This site was designed by myself using photoshop, and cut up for web use using fireworks. The site was built using asp pages nd relies on a backend microssoft access database for festival infomration. The site was built using Dreamweaver 3. you will have to make do with this small picture....im afraid I dont have asp hosting!
Donegal Heritage: This project contains several flash elements including a simple route planner built using Macromedia Director. The resulting shockwave movie is used in this site. I also included a Quicktime VR movie of Glenveagh National Park, allowing users to view the lake and castle area in 360 degrees. Click here to view the site.
